(4) Let’s talk the Barbie movie + kids. : Parenting
"From the look of things, this is an adult geared movie that is looking at the concept of Barbie and possibly an introspection of the brand as a whole. All neatly wrapped up in an adult comedy. I’ll be honest, I doubt most kids would enjoy it. Horror movies are often a one-size fits all, in that the formula of scary things, blood, and gore are consistent and universal. Comedy is much more varied than that. Would your daughter enjoy Meet the Parents or Easy A or Juno? She’s going to likely be confused when an entire audience is laughing at the “beach you off” scene or a random dude groping Barbie in the real world or Barbie’s whole obsession with death and dying that they highlight in the trailer. Even if it goes over her head, if every joke goes over her head or touches on a weird topic, will it be an enjoyable experience for her? Personally, I would skip the movie and do a Barbie movie day with the many for kids Barbie movies that are out there. Or binge the Barbie show, which I hear is hilarious."

"In case anyone missed it, the ingredients included orange & lemon juice, fresh turmeric & ginger, honey and coconut water. The coconut water would probably be best from a young coconut, the mature ones shown here have water inside that isn't quite so nice to drink. When mature, the sweetness of the coconut goes out from the coconut water, and it becomes very flat and insipid. BTW, mature coconuts are excellent for the coconut flesh to be grated for fresh coconut milk, made into "bliss balls" etc.. For drinking, a young and green coconut would be best. If not available, fresh coconut water in UHT packs come close in taste."
